On the 19th of September, there was Beachcombing Day. For Gdynia Aquarium, it was a joint event. We managed to organize a huge cleaning event together with divers from Marine Academy Corporation.
On the 19th of September, there was Beachcombing Day. For Gdynia Aquarium, it was a joint event. We managed to organize a huge cleaning event together with divers from Marine Academy Corporation. It was a competition at the same time. As divers were cleaning the bottom of the sea, children formed in groups were collecting rubbish on the beach.. The team with the highest amount of collected rubbish won. The competition area included the most polluted part of 3city beach which is 10 km long.
There were 70 young contestants and 30 divers who cleaned the Gdansk Bay.
After the tough part of the day, children and divers could rest and relax in Gdynia Aquarium. They had lunch and the most important part of the day everybody were waiting for – competition final and prizes!
