< Has fish had its chips? Cod was once so abundant it was said you could walk to the shore on their backs. But many species are in serious decline due to over fishing, and there are even calls for some food fish to be listed as endangered. How have we got to this point? Join us for a special 4SEAS evening event of lively discussion to find out about the state of our seas, whether the great British fish dish is no more and if there are alternatives. This event takes place from 7pm on the 28th January, 2010, in the Natural History Museum, London. Part of the 4SEAS events program, we will be hearing from scientists, industry and government to find out the issues surrounding sustainable fishing, and indeed what sustainable really means in this case. There will also be an open discussion section where members of the public will be able to air their view, ask questions, and debate problems and possible solutions. A chef from the Tickets for this event are £6, and booking is essential. For tickets please book online at www.nhm.ac.uk, visit an information desk or phone 00 44 207 942 5555. We hope to see you there!
