Outdoor lessons “Wintering waterbirds of Sevastopol Bays” were held by scientists of the Institute of Biology of Southern Seas for 12-15 years old scholars. 

Teenagers got acquainted with different waterbird species not only in virtual multimedia photogallery but also at ecological excursion guided by the scientist. Together with the scientists the scholars learned to recognize different waterbirds species directly in nature, in the bays. They have known a lot about their behaviour, seasonal migrations, biology and ecology, and about the role the bays' ecology plays in their life. Scholars and their guide-biologist had an interesting talk about the problems of waterbirds survival during their wintering, the problems of their protection and the role of people who feed up the waterbirds during their wintering.
