On the 20th of June, we held an event called ‘What sea can do for you’. The Gdynia Aquarium invited cosmetic companies that make cosmetics based on marine products. Our visitors could attend various lectures and presentations. Free spa treatments were also worth recommending.
In October a new species came to our aquarium – Zebra shark. It is unique colored, very gentle shark which inhabits costal zone down to 60 meters deep.

On the 19th of September, there was Beachcombing Day. For Gdynia Aquarium, it was a joint event. We managed to organize a huge cleaning event together with divers from Marine Academy Corporation. |

Baltic festival of Science which is a compilation of events organized by scientific centres takes place in Spring in Poland annually. This year’s edition held on 31th of May was totally hot! Gdynia Aquarium showed to large public some of the invasive species and revealed baltic monsters.

In May Gdynia Aquarium celebrated an International Biodiversity Day. It was a great opportunity to make a joint event and cooperate with other partner - Centre for Ecological Information and Education.
