In October 2009 - 3 Joint Events - together with external actor - Sevastopol Palace of Childhood and Youth - were carried out by SMA and IBSS. Kids from 20 Sevastopol schools (8 - 16 years old) were involved and took part in:
Kids Art exhibition “Black Sea Treasures” (Organized jointly SMA, IBSS and external actor and Juried by SMA & IBSS). Different Black Sea Thematics Art Works of the scholars of different ages were presented on “Black Sea Treasures” exhibition representing all variety of art manners. It was nominated in different fields for different ages, showed the attentive kids view on the sea, its inhabitants and sea treasures from kids’ point of view.

During January - February 2010, 4Seas Events on the joint Theme "History of Marine Research and Marine Expeditions” were held in the assembly hall of the Institute of Biology of Southern Seas (Sevastopol, Ukraine) with wide public interested in the Marine Biology Research and Marine Expeditions |

What is marine science? Shall we better call it "Marine sciences"? Do "seas" and "science" go well toghether? These key-questions are at the basis of 4SEAS, and we also asked you to express your point of view when answering our questionnaires at the beginning of the project. According to our audience response, science and seas make sense together for the large majority of responders (overall, around 75-80% of responders according to age).
